Per Lieutenant Miller: “My career in the fire service began in 2014 when I joined the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department in Grant County Indiana. While with this department I completed Firefighter 1&2, HAZMAT Operations, and obtained my EMT certification. In 2016 my wife and I moved to McCordsville, Indiana and I joined the department. Since joining the department I have obtained certifications in both Vehicle and Machinery Operations and Fire Officer Strategy and Tactics. I have held EMT level positions with other organizations such as Grant County EMS, LifeLine, and the City of Lawrence Fire Department. On June 14th 2018 my wife and I welcomed our son Oliver to the family, he has quickly become a part of the MVFD family as well. In January of 2019 I was promoted to EMS Officer at the rank of Lieutenant. It is my goal and the goal of the department to provide the best medical care, rescue, and fire protection services possible to the citizens of McCordsville and Vernon Township.”
